I have studied Optics and Optometry at UPC (Universitat Politècnica De Catalunya) from 2014-2019 and I did my last year of Bachelor in Prague (Czech Technical University). As my final project, I developed it in the Centre of Sensors, Instruments and Systems Development (CD6 at UPC) performing a system to analyze eye accommodation.

After it I studied a master’s degree in Photonics (UPC) from 2019-2020 in order to be more specialized in visual optics and biophotonics. In my final thesis I continued the study of eye accommodation in CD6.

LIGHTCAP is the project where I can apply my two different backgrounds and study light using my two passions Optics and Optometry. We work connected with different universities and learn different topics from them.

Directionality of light for NIF effects, IF effects and visual comfort

This project consists of studying and analyzing how the direction of light can affect: the visual forming effects, taking into account the role of cones and rods, and the non-visual forming effects, where ipRGC play an important role. All of this taking into account the visual comfort. In order to achieve this, we will take into account spectral and spatial resolved lighting characteristics and how the eye photoreceptors are distributed in the retina and its density.
